Frequently Asked Questions

What is a VIP?2022-10-17T15:49:35+00:00

A victim impact panel is made of individuals who have been personally affected by the harmful decision to drive under the influence. Panels are administered in a traditional class-like setting. Attendees listen while a host of panelists speak. Active interaction is not required but attendees are encouraged to do so properly.

The panels offered by Project VIP LLC are typically court-ordered although our classes are available for all. In order to attend the panel, we require attentiveness and some form of identification. Our goal is to provide a platform that amplifies victims’ voices in hopes of a better tomorrow.

The panels conducted are given solely in hopes of preventing recidivism and providing education on the harmful impacts caused by drunk and drugged driving. Driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol can result in injury to innocent civilians or those committing the crime of injuring or killing themselves as a result of drinking and driving. We have one goal in mind; eventually leading to the eradication of driving under the influence.

If you have completed an assessment and were appointed by an accessor, judge, department of public safety, probation/parole, or attorney and was told you needed to complete Victim Impact Panel that is what we provide.
